TSC Composite Shipping Cases - Maximum Durability, Light Weight
TSC Composite cases are available in a number of standard sizes for military and industrial applications. TSC composite shipping cases provide the ultimate in rugged durability and the light-weight advantage of high-pressure compression molded TSC thermoplastic composite materials. TSC composite shipping cases have repeatedly proven their superiority in providing protection for an immense variety of military and commercial equipment.
Standard TSC shipping cases are manufactured in removable lid designs, hinged clam-shell designs and toteable versions. Using compression molding presses up to 1,200-tons in capacity, ECS manufactures these cases of the same composite materials used for car bumpers and military truck components. TSC case shells provide extraordinary impact resistance and rugged durability at temperatures which exceed a range of -65º F to +185º F. TSC composite materials are very rigid under heavy stacking loads, but resilient during impacts. Approximately one third of all impact energy is absorbed by the deflection of the TSC enclosure walls before impact forces are transferred to the foam cushions or shock mounts that provide the final shock and vibration attenuation required to protect the enclosed equipment.

ECS has casters to meet the requirements of a broad range of applications. Casters are selected to match the weight of the loaded case and the surface conditions which the case will experience during use. Standard caster types include rigid mount (with or without brakes), swivel mount (with or without brakes), recessed for shipment and deployable for use, quickly removable, and fixed edge-mounted. Wheel sizes range from 3 to 6 inches, with wheel widths up to 1-3/4 inches. |

ECS supplies standard and custom fabricated hinges for many different applications. Most ECS hinges are stainless steel, for which ECS can provide unique hole patterns and mounting features. ■ Piano hinges are available in continuous lengths up to 48-inches. They are available in light weight, medium weight and heavy weight styles. ■ Take apart hinges slip apart to allow quick removal of lids and covers from cases. ■ Stay hinges can be supplied to hold hinged cases open. |

TSC composite rackmount cases have molded-in stacking features, including optional Loadmaster stacking features to allow stackability with Loadmaster rotomold shipping cases. Other rackmount case stacking options include aluminum stacking feet mounted on the top of the case and extruded aluminum hat-section skid rails mounted on the bottom of the case. Stacking feet engage matching holes in the skid rails for secure case-to-case stackability and may be equipped with stainless steel locking pins, which insure positive attachment. Locking pins can also be supplied with lanyards and stowage receptacles. |

Anodized, extruded aluminum skid rails provide a wear surface for the bottom of FRP composite rackmount cases and also allow for enclosure stackability and case-to-case latching ability. Skid rails may be equipped with high density polyethylene rub strips to eliminate abrasive wear. Low profile skid rails are used on 3000 series rackmount cases, and all other FRP composite rackmount cases are equipped with taller, standard height skid rails. |

ECS enclosures are available in a multitude of different colors, the fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) series has over 60 colors, see available color chart. The thermo stamped composite (TSC) series currently has 4 colors: black, gray, tan and green. |
