Carbon Fiber Shipping Cases are available in most of the same sizes as FRP Composite Standard Shipping Cases and FRP Composite Custom Cases. Carbon fiber transit cases weigh approximately 30-percent less than FRP Composite shipping cases of the same size.

Carbon Fiber Cases can be made with a variety of extruded aluminum closures and hardware. These design alternatives allow us to supply ultra lightweight, nearly indestructible versions of the same case sizes that have provided excellent service to warfighters for four decades.

The unique appearance of woven Carbon Fiber composite surfaces clearly identify these transit and rackmount cases as ECS originals. Additionally, our Carbon Fiber Cases are offered with advanced electromagnetic shielding. Innovation continues.

Product Options

	We have casters to meet the requirements of a broad range of applications. Casters are selected to match the weight of the loaded case and the surface conditions which the case will experience during use. Standard caster types include rigid mount (with or without brakes), swivel mount (with or without brakes), recessed for shipment and deployable for use, quickly removable, and fixed edge-mounted. Wheel sizes range from 3 to 6 inches, with wheel widths up to 1-3/4 inches.
	We supplies standard and custom fabricated hinges for many different applications. Most of our hinges are stainless steel, for which we can provide unique hole patterns and mounting features. ■ Piano hinges are available in continuous lengths up to 48-inches. They are available in light weight, medium weight and heavy weight styles. ■ Take apart hinges slip apart to allow quick removal of lids and covers from cases. ■ Stay hinges can be supplied to hold hinged cases open.
	TSC composite rackmount cases have molded-in stacking features, including optional Loadmaster stacking features to allow stackability with Loadmaster rotomold shipping cases. Other rackmount case stacking options include aluminum stacking feet mounted on the top of the case and extruded aluminum hat-section skid rails mounted on the bottom of the case. Stacking feet engage matching holes in the skid rails for secure case-to-case stackability and may be equipped with stainless steel locking pins, which insure positive attachment. Locking pins can also be supplied with lanyards and stowage receptacles.
	Anodized, extruded aluminum skid rails provide a wear surface for the bottom of FRP composite rackmount cases and also allow for enclosure stackability and case-to-case latching ability. Skid rails may be equipped with high density polyethylene rub strips to eliminate abrasive wear. Low profile skid rails are used on 3000 series rackmount cases, and all other FRP composite rackmount cases are equipped with taller, standard height skid rails.
	Our enclosures are available in a multitude of different colors, the fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) series has over 60 colors, see available color chart. The thermo stamped composite (TSC) series currently has 4 colors: black, gray, tan and green.
